was born in 1967 and studied Music at the Academy Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and Architecture in Oldenburg. After her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, she taught at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Bremen and Oldenburg. Since 1997, Vera Doerk has been working as an architect and has done some artistic projects (cf. »Update« (zo2)), which have been exhibited internationally. Since the beginning of 2004, she has been working in the media arts project »Energie_Passagen« at the MARS Exploratory Media Lab. She has collaborated in the project in all phases of its implementation with regard to its conception and design. During this period she developed and programmed a series of prototypes for the »information flow«. She was in particular responsible for the spatial implementation and the planing of the »information cube«.
